South East Beach is well known currently as Pink beach which is located at the South East of Lombok. It’s a long ride to Tanjung Luar harbor, East Lombok, around 2.15 hours from Mataram/Senggigi or Kuta area. On the way you can see local daily activities in the rice fields and will be passing by some local daily traditional markets. At the harbor of Tanjung Luar the boat is waiting to take you on your trip. You will pass Pulau Pasir (called Sands Island) and can have a short break there to take beautiful photos. You will see so many starfish that are really attractive to see and touch. The trip will continue to Gili Petelu and the underwater scenery is awesome to see colorful fish, such as Nemo and beautiful untouched corals. Afterward continue to Pink Beach for a short break/lunch and to relax.

The sands at Pink Beach will turn a light pink color when the sun is shining and the water touches the sand. On the way back after the boat trip is finished you may have time to stop at Sukarare weaving craft village. Here the locals make traditional weaving craft, called Tenun in bahasa. All the girls in the village must follow the local practices for weaving before they get married. Very interesting to see!
